Kwik Fit Maintenance Index

When Digital Marketing approached the Data Science team at Kwik Fit's parent company, they wanted us to come up with an interactive use of our market-leading sales data that would engage the public.Accordingly, we created the 'Kwik Fit Maintenance Index', an analytical end product that shows which car model 'families' (e.g. the 'Ford Fiesta') are the most disproportionately seen at Kwik Fit car repair centres, relative to their share of the vehicle population for that locality. I pretty much did the end-to-end project here - conception, programming and project delivery. Disappointingly, an initial release in late 2024 didn't pick up much traction beyond sector-specific news outlets. Nevertheless, we revised our product for a new iteration in early 2025 and went again. This time, we dropped some of the interactive complexity, and made big improvements to the mobile browsing experience. Our 2025 release, focussed on tire sales, was a smash-hit media-fuelled success!
